I didnt finish my water and forgot about the massage until I got home- This is why they got 4 stars from me.First and foremost, I will say this is my third time at a hair salon. If you dont want to pay that much for beverages invest in a beverage vending machine or dont ask customers what theyd like. the receptionist brought back a glass of warm sink water! I feel if youre going to offer drinks, make sure its in a bottle or that it comes from a water machine. I didnt get one in the 4 hours I was there :-( Also, I chose water when asked what kind of beverage I wanted. She has gone above and beyond what I expected from a hair stylist and Im so thankful to have met her! Shes earned a loyal customer in me :)CONS: they handed me a sheet prior to my appt that offered complimentary services (massage, facial etc) as well as extra services you could add to your bill. Shes a great listener, understands her customers and takes pride in what she does. Shes only been with the company for a couple months, but she does have 15 years of experience under her belt. PROS: Brittany is the BEST hair stylist there. I live for that stuff.These gals are knocking it out of the park, and I cant think of one good reason to pay more and have less fun getting my hair done in Seattle.Ive never had a stylist or salon Ive stuck to - Til now. Everyone in the place was genuinely warm and encouraging. From the store owner and manager, to the stylists who arent even assigned to you, to the wonderful booking gurus, these babes exude authentic welcoming.That, for me, is what makes a place worth coming back to.Well, that and the phenomenal job Shae did on cropping my hair into a pixie )As someone else said, at some point in my long visit, every stylist on deck pitched in to my process, and in the meantime, all of us (stylists and customers) were swapping stories, keeping each other laughing, and even sharing some tears when each others hair really did turn out *that* great. Loved the feeling of the building itself, which, lets face it, adds to the experience.But by far the shining star of this joint is the people. It is a lovely, comfortable yet modern space. And did I mention that the prices are extremely reasonable? I found my new Aveda salon".Chose this salon based on the other reviews and the photos, which dont do it justice.

She spent a full 2 hours getting the cut just right and showing me different ways to style my new short haircut. Kristin Walker was my stylist - she did exactly what a wanted and blew away my expectations with a precision, very short cut. Service included a scalp and shoulder massage, and a hand massage while the conditioner was on my hair. What a pleasure - smiling faces on ALL the staff and a friendly welcome. "OMG what service! Came here to fix a bad cut from another Aveda Salon in the Proctor District.
And did I mention that the prices are extremely reasonable? I found my new Aveda salon".
